Contest LO's

I thought I blogged once a while back about the "So You Think You Can Scrap" contest that I entered, but I cannot find where I posted. Not a big deal really that I can't find it, but I finished the contest. It was a 6 week contest - one LO every week based on a challenge given to you. I really am amazed that I made it thru all 6 weeks and I got 6 GREAT LO's done - some of my favorites really. The contest is over of course, and I didn't win - which is what I expected, and I can finally show off my LO's. I was anonomous throughout the contest (although I don't know how anonomous I really was b/c I believed in using my own pictures and doing the pages as real scrapbook pages for my books!) Here they are:

Week 1 - It's so me (scrap a LO about something that people say about you)

Week 2: Flashback (scrap an older picture - a flashback)

Week 3 - Moment in Time (scrap a moment in time - a picture you captured that you are so glad you did

Week 4 - Sing Sing a Song (scrap about a song - with some lyrics on the page)

Week 5 - Color My World (alter your picture - run an action on it)

Week 6 - It's a Bird...It's a Plane (scrap a "thing", not a person)

There you have it - my contest LO's! This post took me all of yesterday and today (on and off of course), because Blogger is ridiculous when it comes to posting pics now all of the sudden.

I will try to do another post of Braelyn's party last night - it went great and she loved having everyone over and showing them all of her stuff!

Have a great Saturday and Sunday!

Holiday Weekend pics and LO's

Visually heavy post here. I am just getting to upload my pictures and LO's from the weekend! We had a great time in the U.P. of Michigan - great weather! We did a lot of quading and eating, and the guys fishing! Had some great bonfires as well! Good times had by all! I'd say the pictures sum it all up - I had to pick and choose from about 150!!!!

Here are pictures from Braelyn's preschool graduation. She did great and the little program was adorable!

And finally, some LO's that I worked on this past weekend. Very hodge podgey here - some were for our vacation book that we are trying to finish up and get printed, some are from this weekend and some are just misc. LO's!

There you have it. If you have stuck with it thus far - good job - that is a ton of pictures and LO's!

Last minute...

Memorial Day weekend plans!!! We got asked last minute to head up to Drummond Island with our friends to their cabin, so I am excited for a much needed break! It's a cabin in the woods that is in the middle of NO WHERE! We will have 6 kids and 4 adults in the cabin, which is always fun and interesting! We are praying for a safe trip - no injuries - and for just a good time in general! Braelyn and Selah are SUPER excited, and the best part for Braelyn is that she gets to spend her birthday up there!!! Braelyn turns 5 on Friday! I can't believe I am going to have a 5 year old! Kyle and I are so blessed to have "B" in our lives as a daughter! She is such a sweet child. She is at such a fun age and she loves to interact with us! I love that she still loves to cuddle and kiss and hug! I am not looking forward to the day when that may be "embarrassing"! Happy birthday Braelyn! Braelyn also graduated preschool last night! On to Kindergarten for her! She is excited to go to a different school, meet new friends, and to ride the bus! Me - I am just looking forward to summer now - I am looking forward to not having a commitment EVERY day I have off of work!

Life has been crazy busy as usual. My girls did GREAT in our friend Cassie's wedding - I will definitely have to post pictures on here! I did post them on facebook, because it is so much easier and quicker to post pictures on there, but I really have a bunch of cute pictures to share, so hopefully next week sometime I can do just a pure picture post! The day of the wedding was SUPER busy with hair, pictures, etc... but it went great and we were so glad to be a part of Cassie and Matt's day! Kyle got back on Sunday night, and it's just been a rather tension filled couple days. I think both of us are just crabby and non-communicative right now. Hopefully the two 6hr. car rides will force us to chat and get back on base with eachother. Sometimes we just need that!

Here are a few LO's that I have done in the last few weeks that I just haven't posted on here! Again, credits are always on each LO in my galleries! (link to galleries on upper right!)

So - have to finish packing up and making sure I don't forget anything here for our little trip. Hopefully I can check back in early next week!!!

Have a great Memorial Day Weekend everyone!

Numb

That's the first word that comes to my mind. I don't feel much right now. I am crabby, I am tired, I am worn, I am much too busy. Anyway - enough about that.

Busy day tomorrow with Braelyn and Selah being in a wedding - their babysitter Cassie! We are so excited for Cassie and this new stage of her life! We had rehearsal last night and the girls all did great! Let's hope they do the same with a bunch of people in the pews! I am a bit overwhelmed with all that will go on tomorrow - so any prayers for me and getting thru it with the three girls alone would be great! I think Gracyn will be taken care of the whole time, but managing the other two and doing the Brides hair and everything is a daunting task nonetheless. I think I will crash tomorrow night!

Sat. we have a family party at night that I will take the girls to at my mom's so that will be busy as well - just a little bit of hair in the morning! I am guessing the girls will take nice naps on Saturday and so I am hoping to just sit (maybe even take a nap myself!!!)! That's our weekend pretty much. We'll start next week with a bang as well - just busy busy - what's new! Braelyn graduates from preschool next Tue. night - we are so proud of her (not that we didn't think she'd graduate, but she has come so far in one year!). Lot's of picture opportunites coming up here!

Short one today - have a good weekend everyone!

{inter}National Scrapbook Day

So yesterday was NSD (National Scrapbook Day). How did I spend it??? Well, I taught a digital scrap booking class of course! What a great way to spend NSD! I couldn't have asked for a better way to spend it! (OK - I'd be lying if I stopped there and didn't add the another great way to spend NSD would be to actually SCRAP!!!) ;) I'm such a digi scrap addict. At least I admit it! I love it! I love creating pages and putting them in books. I love when my daughters want to look thru their books. Digital Scrap booking for me is pure therapy. For some reason it just makes me happy when I can do it with no guilt or reserve! Anyway Happy National Scrap booking Day yesterday to anyone who scraps - digitally or traditionally!

We've had about 3 good days of weather which has been nice. Took a long walk this afternoon and now the girls are sleeping sound! Kyle's out washing the van (gotta love him for that! Thanks Hun), and I am taking a quiet break. Doesn't get any better! I can't believe that it is May already! May is a busy month for us - but so much fun stuff going on! Braelyn and Selah are in our friend's Cassie's wedding! Braelyn's birthday is May 22, so we will have to get her party all planned! My oldest is going to be 5!!! Yikes - where did that time go?! Oh wait - I know where it went - it flew right by! May of course always brings about Tulip Time - like the 2nd biggest festival in the USA!!! Right here in our town!!! We usually go to quite a few of the festivities so that will be this week! We already hit the fireworks kick-off on Fri. night!

And as usual, I leave you with a few pictures and LO's!

This is a quickpage that you could have recieved as a freebie along with a collab kit at The-Lilypad with a $10 order this weekend!!! Great kit and some great quickpages!

This LO was one I did for the Lilypad Blog Challenge this week - runs thru Mon. night
It's all about the stage that you are at in your life. I am definitely in the "feeling Needed" stage of life and this picture says it all - my view looking down most of the time!

This LO is done with Shabby Miss Jenn Designs kit: Snap Spring
(Pssst...she has another SUPER CUTE kit that she jut put out for NSD - Chit Chat!)

And these next two LO's were done with The-lilypad's May BYOC

And here are some pics of the Fireworks night! A good time with lots of family and the kids loved running around. It was cold though - probably about 50 degrees on the lake.

And these are just a picture of the girls the other night - playing outside! It was starting to cool down so they do look bundled up, but thought they were cute!

OK - Good Night - have a great week!

Long time....no blog

I can't believe that I have neglected this blog for 3 weeks. Yikes! Sorry about that. So many things have been going on in Kyle and my life right now and it's just to the point that I don't even know where to begin. Many things in the last month have consumed our time and our thoughts. We've endured many sleepless nights lying awake thinking and praying and talking. My brother-in-law, a 12 year veteran of our local Sheriff's Dept. has been involved in a not so great situation, and so of course we are rallying up support behind him! Anyway - I am not going to go into any detail of any of this, but your prayers in the matter are greatly appreciated!

The girls have been getting over their nasty cold/ear infection stuff. I hope we are finally in the clear of all of that junk! Yesterday was 80 degrees here and it was sooooo nice to play outside and clean house with windows wide open! Today the rain has come again, but it is still pretty warm! This afternoon I am going to do some much needed shopping! That always makes for a fun day I figure!

Here are a few new LO's to share as well!

I feel like I haven't had ANY time to scrap lately, but I apparently have a lot of LO's from my three week hiatus! ;)

Have a great weekend everyone!
