Better Late than Never

As Promised.... (okay so I purposefully did not "promise" b/c I didn't want to break a promise, but I did kind of tip you off that I might post pics tonight!) Better late than never right?!

Here they are in NO particular order! And not really touched up really either for what it's worth - not that i fix up my photos too much anyway! :)

We're back and TIRED!!!

Got back yesterday at about 5:00pm. I was whooped! I have never been so busy go go go!!! I wish I had pictures to share and I promise tonight if I get time I will do a post with just those but I am posting quick from work just so you all know we had FUN! Avalanche Bay (indoor waterpark) was AWESOME! Tons to do and the girls did marvelous! Braelynn went down nearly every slide - even the ones I said I would not do again! She is one brave soul! Selah went repeatedly down the slide that I could take her down. And by the way when I say Braelyn went down every slide, I do mean with Kyle of course! The kids got their nap schedules a little messed up of course, but they were pretty good for being crazy busy and running on only 2 cylinders vs. 4 (meaning less sleep.) The hotel was GREAT - had a mini kitchen and so for brekfast each morning we just had our Krispy Kreme donuts that we picked up fresh on our way up north. Lunch and dinner were a little hard to come by around the resort. They had the waterpark cafeteria (expensive and not that great), and then most of the actual restaurants were closed. This is called Boyne Mountain Resorts - a big skiing area in MI here. Since they are kind of in between seasons they figure they don't need to run all of their restaurants. This would be fine if there were other options outside of this large resort, but there really are not. We made due though and did not starve - LOL! I was told if you know they area there are some great places so next time we go we will get more advice. We are actually going back with Kyle's whole family in Sept. Now mind you I will be 8 months pregnant at that point which will not be all that fun. So great times - hope to have pics soon!

Busy week ahead!!! We have our neighborhood garage sale on Fri and Sat. We have quite a large subdivision so it is CHAOS!!! I hope to sell much of the things I am putting out to declutter the house!!! So I will be setting that up all week I would say! Fri. night is the fireworks to kick off our local Tulip Time Festival! All next week we have parades and junk food and dutch dancing and all that good stuff! LOVE this week here and last year we were gone to FL. during it! I think the girls will LOVE the parades!

Summer is quickly approaching and will be here before we know it! Nice weather is finally pretty much here to stay here, and we have three camping trips planned already. We are also going to a cottage with friends in the beginning of June! I need to go and get a good maternity suit b/c it looks like I will be needing one ALOT this summer. I have never been REALLY pregnant in the summer since I had Braelyn in Jan. and Selah in May. This is different for me!

On the pregnancy note I have jsut 3 more weeks until we find out what we are having. Still praying for a healthy baby boy - but we will be content with a healthy baby in general - boy or girl! Braelyn keeps saying baby sister and that is my gut feeling, so who knows! I am feeling great - don't even feel pregnant - which at times is scary, but everything looks great so far! I should start feeling the baby in the next few weeks, unless I have anterior placenta like I did with Braelyn's pregnancy - my placenta was in the front of the womb so I could not feel baby very much until later in pregnancy b/c there was like extra "padding" so to speak. Good baby stuff - love being pregnant - so amazing!

Watched Facing the Giants last night. GOOD MOVIE. I was getting a little sick of movies lately b/c of al the negativity in them (be it shooting, killing, law cases, affairs, etc....) and this one did not dissappoint. Very christian based and I thought it was well done. Some parts were a bit "cheesy" if I dare use that word, but all in all it was good. I had tears a few times.

Better finish my day here at work and I hope you all have a GREAT day too! Thanks for stopping in!

Heading Out!

We are all packed up and ready to head out in the morning. I am posting this on Thur. night at 11:00pm. We had a quick dinner tonight of chicken, corn, and strawberries, and then headed to the library to pick up some new fresh videos for the girls and Kyle got some CD's to listen to. We then checked out a few campers that were on show at our local mall parking lot - found one we like, but probably won't get it until next year. Once we got home tonight I packed up the girls' things while Kyle took a shower with them so they were fresh for bed and the ride tomorrow. Then I was off to packing my stuff and I mopped the floors quick b/c I hate leaving a messy house. So...We are ready to go! I am so excited. The ride does not excite me necessarily - about 4 hrs with stops and for a preggo girl that is just not fun! We will stop at Krispy Kreme to get some hot fresh donuts for our breakfasts', and then half way thru the trip we will stop for a nice lunch somewhere and stretch! Hopefully the rain clears out by A.M.!

RANDOM PICTURES:

Our entry way from garage - I just love my lockers and bench seat at the end - totally don't utilize it enough. The only reason I show this is b/c our house is for sale and I just found these photos to post on our listing - LOL!

Isn't this just precious. On the left is Kyle's dad Jim, then Braelyn, and Kyle. They tried a little fishing the other night (last Sunday) at the beach on the channel! No luck but they really only tried for about 5 minutes. Braelyn loses interest VERY quickly!

Selah swinging at the beach! She is LOVING it!
The girls doing their nightly routine (okay - not nightly together always like this - LOL) They were so cute standing up on their stool and brushing their teeth together!!!
Are you still with me??? See that last picture? Remember these beaded hearts??? These and MANY other fun element packs are on sale for $1 at Amy Martin's $1 Days Sale!!! Hurry - check it out!
Have a GREAT weekend everyone - I will be taking my laptop for the main purpose of being able to upload my photos to it as we go throughout the weekend - so I am sure I will be checking emails and stuff to a little! ;)
TTYS!!!

Back in again!!!

All kinds of exciting stuff to blab about. Exciting to me - might not be to all of you! :)

We had a GREAT weekend! Gorgeous weather! Friday night we had small group - a great time of good food and socialization without kiddos! Sat. morning we went out to breakfast and picked up some fertilizer for the yard and then came home and got to work! I cleared out the whole garage and washed down the floor and some of the walls! Man was that needed! It is a great feeling when it is done too! We are having a garage sale in our neighborhood next weekend so I thought I should have a clean presentable garage! We also found a ton of stuff to put on the garage sale! Kyle mowed the grass, fertilized, and helped clean! I also washed my Tahoe - inside and out. So that may not sound like fun, but it was actually not bad - and it is a great feeling of accomplishment and cleanliness! At night Kyle and I went out to dinner on our own and then we met up with some other couples and headed out two hours to Indiana for a Sawyer Brown concert. Despite getting lost and listening to blaring loud music all the way there it was a ton of fun. My sister-in-law always gets tickets every year from her brother who knows Mark Miller (lead singer of Sawyer Brown). Late night so the girls stayed over night at my mom and Dad's. Sunday was just a good day of church and then lunch at the in-laws - very relaxing. We had dinner out at the beach too - that was the best! We flew our kite and the girls did some swinging. Gorgeous night!

That brings us to this week. Not a whole lot of excitement this week - normal stuff andnot many plans. This coming weekend is going to be great though. We are taking the girls to Avalanche Bay - one of the largest indoor water parks, in Boyne MI. We have not taken a "vacation" this spring like many people do so we decided last minute to book this little trip. We will leave on Fri. morning - take out time getting up there, and then stay there until Sun.! Braelyn is excited and is counting down the "sleeps". I hope that they both like it and are not scared - I know sometimes those things can be a little frightening! They do have a lazy river and kiddie area though that should be a little more tame with not as much water splashing all around! So that is our excitement here!

Scrapbooking question for those of you who scrap. Do you slow down on your scrapping in the summer months??? I feel like that is the case b/c life gets so busy in the summer with camping and little weekend trips to cottages and what not. Just wondered if that were true for my blog readers?! Chime in here and let me know if you slow down like I do! I get overwhelmed with pics b/c I take the most pictures in the summer, but I get behind on scrapping them!

I really want to accomplish a few more pages this week so we will see if that pans out.

I hope you all have a great week!
Adios!

Funky Chic

Finished up this LO this weekend! This new kit by Shabby Miss Jenn Designs is so fun and funky!!!

The weekend and Monday are already over - wow! Tomorrow is a free day for me - no work!!! This weekend was pretty good. Fri. night we got to have dinner with our friends. My sister in law Sarah offered to have our kiddos which was SUPER nice! No late night or anything, but after my day on Fri. I needed it!!! Sat. was awesome! I led a digital scrapping class at a local cafe with my sister in law Nina. We had 6 attendees! They all seemed to really like it and I think we did a pretty good job at a starter class! Everyone there should have got about 2 LO's done from the help of that class!!! Anyway - so doing things like that just make me happy - helping other preserve their memories! Sat. night we had a bonfire with Kyle and I and Braelyn. Selah went to bed by 8:00 and then we sat out back with Braelyn and roasted marshmallows. I came in with her at about 9:15 to put her to bed. I then re-joined Kyle outside again for a little more relaxation! Kyle loves a nice little bonfire!

My Smore girl SMILE!!!

The dark bonfire photp that needs lightening - LOL!

So all in all it was a good weekend. A couple new digi things to keep on your list:

Amy Martin's new things up at the-lilypad

Dawn Stocstill's new stuff coming to the Digishoppe (and of course the templates that are already there - I just did a LO tonight that I need to put some finishing touches on!)

And keep an eye out for some new Audrey Neal goodies coming to the-lilypad sometime soon!!!

Have a great week everyone!

Shoes say alot about a person...

Or so they say! So I have been needing new shoes. I do not shop and when I do it is normally for necessities. I like the latest fashions and to be cute and up to date - but I hate spending money. And when I have money to actually spend I cannot find anything. You all know how it goes I am sure! (well - not all of you - I know many of you love to shop and can find something cute every time!). So almost ALL the shoes I own are Payless shoes. My feet work with payless shoes. Most people say their feet do not, but my feet do. I have loved all my payless shoes and at the price - I can't go wrong! So what did I do yesterday??? I bought 4 pairs of Payless shoes!!! I am so excited! Guess what - they just started their BOGO sale - buy one get one half off! I got 4 pairs of shoes for $55 - free shipping! Yipppeee!!! Wanna see em??? Do ya, do ya??? OK - here goes nothing. Let me know if they are what you would picture me to buy or not!

My Brown Casual

My black casual

Every other color casual/dress

Brown/Khaki dress
So..... What do ya think??? Good choices! two flats, two high heals, two dress, two casual, two brown, two black (well one's navy, but close enough). See I have logic on my brain when picking these things out - gotta make em worth every penny!!!
That's my post for today.
Have a good one - tomorrow is FRIDAY!!!

New LO and doctor update

Just finished this LO up and posted it here! I like how it turned out! It was great to play with some of these great things! Most everything here is from my CT designers - so it is always good to play with! :) Selah is such a ham with these bunny ears - they don't stay on long, which is why the photo isn't all that great, but I had to scrap it!

The doctors appointment yesterday went great! I was shocked by my weight - I was expecting it to be at least what my weight was a year ago at my post partum check-up after having Selah, but it was lower - so I was pleased. Here's to hoping I don't gain too much this pregnancy. I am however showing a bit! Those that don't know me might not dare ask yet, but those that know me can tell! The NP (nurse practicioner) said that the uterus was definintely there and pretty good size. All of my lab work came back great - I am a negative blood type so I do need the Rhogam shot, and looks like I might need a rubella shot too at some point, but that is it! I scheduled my next appointment for 6 weeks from now - which is my 20 wk. appt. so that will be the ultrasound and reg appt!!! I am so excited! Heart rate was about 153 on average today - so good to hear that nice and strong. Kyle and I totally think it will be a girl, but it will be good to know for sure, then we can start "planning" room stuff and organzing the clothes again!!! I am glad they are letting me hold off on the regular appt. part b/c normally I would have to go back in every 4 weeks (not 6 - like they are letting me!) It is hard to do Dr. appt. now with two kiddos! Since this is my 3rd pregnancy and I have never had complications and since it is still early in the pregnancy the NP said I could go for 6 weeks and just to call if I have questions or concerns! Love that!

Things are coming together for the little class I am teaching on Sat.! We have 6 confirmed students so far, which is really good I think! Some of my GREAT designer friends have been super generous with a few things and it is all coming together nicely. I wish I had a class like this - in fact I still need classes like this -LOL, maybe just a touch more advanced than what we are teaching Sat. It still amazes me what you can do in Photoshop and how many ways you can do one thing. When I sat the other day with my sister -in -law it was fun to see how she did a few things and how I did a few things differently and still achieved the same end result! AMAZING! Love this hobby!

Have a great day folks!

Finally.... The pictures!!!

Like I promised - here are some pictures from last weekend up north! I haven't touched any of them up yet, but a few of them will make great LO's!!! Lots of good family time at a gorgeous log cabin in the woods!

Check out these cool ribbon elements too!!! Can't wait to use these on a LO soon!

OK - you all have a great day. I am off to my doctors appt., then lunch at my mom's since she will have my girls for a bit, and then some naptime scrapping!!! I need to set a goal to get 2 LO's done - yikes - I sound like an overachiever! Dinner tonight is a taco bake so I can whip that up fairly quick too!
Tootaloos!!!

No pics today - sorry

So no pictures still!!! I know my sister and sister in law probably got some great ones yesterday at our family easter lunch so I will be needing to get those from them since we didn't take ANY easter pictures. I also have gotten the pictures from our weekend up north last weekend so tomorrow's post will for sure include those! Stay tuned! :)

Normal week this week finally! I have my very first doctor's appointment tomorrow (although I did have an ultrasound already, but this is the first real appointment). I will be interested to see what I weigh and just to finally hear the heartbeat! I am not so excited about the other part (the more invasive part - LOL). I feel like I am showing already - my belly just seems to pop a bit more and a bit quicker with each pregnancy! Part of it is that I am NOT careful about what I eat! Bring on the sweets! With Braelyn's pregnancy I was so strict - no pop, sugar, fast food - nothing! Not so with Selah's pregnancy or this one! These poor babes.

Our Easter weekend went well. Friday night my cousin Lindsay came over and babysat ( I did her hair and nails for her as trade-off) so Kyle and I just went to a movie - we saw Reign Over Me. We thought it was pretty good. A bit slow but I thought that the moral of it, or maybe rather the storyline was meaningful and good. We also got to see the movie and have popcorn and pops for free so the whole date night was FREE! We had gift cards still to the theatre we went to and then we have a frequent buyer card that when you fill it up you get a free combo - so bonus - we filled the card out that night! We also still have enough on our giftcard to see one more movie together and we have $3 in concession money - so next time will be near free too! Sat. was pretty laid back. We enjoyed breakfast together of pancakes, ran some errands and then while the kids napped I worked on the computer and Kyle took a little nap while watching some HBO movie. I also watched Monster In-Law on our free HBO that we get thru tomorrow thru our cable company - that was rather cute! We had dinner at night at a church friends house. They invited us and one other couple - with kids - which is always nice! Braelyn played well with their little boy! It was a great night! Sunday we went to early service at our church which is the more traditional and harder to keep the kids occupied, but it was a nice service and then we came home and I prepared my salad for the lunch at my aunts and we headed out. It was about a 45 minute drive so after the lunch we did a little road touring since the kids were sleeping in the car! We finally got home around 5:00pm and we did our pizza dinner and hung out until kiddos got in bed. We attempted to watch Miami Vice - the movie, and we both fell asleep. That was our weekend - sorry to bore you with all the details - LOL!

Anway - just wanted to stop in and I will stop in tomorrow afternoon again for sure with some pictures!

TTYS gals!

A New LO & some products

So I just finished up a new LO. I used Miss HuniBuni's new templates that she put up in her new shop at the DigiShoppe! And guess what she also has a new CT call out!!! Very fun stuff!
The kit I used here is by Eve Recinella and it was the excusive kit at DST for the gold /diamond members! This kit is phenomenal and I think it was quite large for a freebie! If you are not a member yet at DST (a gold memeber - $25) then I highly suggest you do it. Each month you get a kit by a designer - and these designers are rocking!!! Anyway - so these are the things that inspired this LO about Selah and her first picture showing her teeth!

I haven't gotten the pictures from last weekend yet, but I think I will get them at lunch today since we are doing the Pizza Hut buffet with some family memebers. I will post them soon - I can't wait to see them myself.

So it is Good Friday - many people wonder why the day that we remember Jesus' death on the cross is called "good". I believe it is because today I have renewed hope that Jesus Christ died on the cross to save me. That is good stuff. It is VERY sad and very gruesome, but the renewed hope for christians is what makes it Good Friday. Happy Easter weekend to everyone!

We sit here in snow in MI, so the easter egg hunt for the girls will be held inside and the easter dresses that I have for them will be worn, but they will have their big winter coats over top unfortunately.

Short post today b/c quite frankly I am at a loss for words - LOL. Not sure what else to write about and Selah has awoken from her nap so I guess we better go get ready for lunch!

Ciao!

Weekend Re-cap!

Well, I have no pictures to show YET. I put a few on my computer, but I am posting from a different computer so I cannot show them. Plus the fact that I have to get a CD from my brother-in-law of all the photos we took with their camera - better quality! Anyway - I hope to get those up here soon - I know we got some fun ones! We got up north at about 9:00pm - girls stayed awake the whole time - although we did make like 5 stops - LOL. We turned a 2 hour road trip into about 3 1/4! But hey - we were in no hurry and it was a nice ride! Not much on Fri. night - just got unpacked, set up, and chatted with my sister and her husband after kids were in bed. Braelyn slept downstairs with her cousins Paige and Corbin - so she felt pretty special! She did good until 6:00am when she had to go to the bathroom so my sister brought her up to us in our room and she fell back asleep with us! Love cuddling with our girls in bed! The second night she did sleep with us. So Sat. morning we just really took it easy! Had a great quiche and then once it started warming up the guys and kids were outside riding the motorcycles & the big rhino (like a large heavy duty golf cart) all thru the trails on the property. Selah and Braelyn LOVED riding fast on these things - so scary for a mom to watch! After lunch with my parents, we headed to their hotel/lodge to use the pool. It was in indoor pool and it was so so HOT in the room, but the pool was still a little chilly. The hot tub was the best bet b/c it was actually not that hot! Good times and it tired out the kids! We took them all back and put them down for naps. Kyle went back out to ride the motorcycle around and I read a couple magazines and just sat! So nice! We has a dynamic steak, potato, and corn dinner - MY FAVORITE MEAL by far!!! We had 8 adults and 8 kids at this point in the night!!!! It was a total chaotic fun time! In a little log cabin I might add! :) After half the crew left for their hotel room we watched The Holiday. Good movie. I got to see it in the theatre with my girlfriends and I enjoyed it just as much the second time around! Hit the hay after 12:00am! That is late me me folks!!! Sunday morning was pretty uneventful - just did a nice breakfast of cinnamon rolls and sausage, and then kids played outside for a bit again! I packed up, hubby did a little laundry like our sheets and some clothes and then by 10:30 we were on the road back home. Our ride home took exactly 2 hours!!! No stops this time! We headed straight to Kyle's parents house for Sunday lunch - a little late birthday cake for me too! After lunch we headed home - put the girls down in their own beds and Kyle and I had 5 days of bible reading to do. We are doing the "Bible in a Year" thing that we commited to at our church, and let me say - it is TOUGH. We pretty much do it everyday, but if you fall behind it can be hard to catch up. We do it together - most of the time listening to it on CD while reading along in our bible's. I must say I am having a hard time with the Old Testament. There are so many confusing and hard to say names. It has helped listening to it rather than trying to read it! Anywa - so we read for about 1hour! By time I caught up on my emails and blog reading I had no time to scrap! I hope to tonight, but I have to do a few haircuts - but then I will just commit myself to it!!! I have a list of kits to play with and stuff to use!

Now that I have rambled your ear off about our weekend (that to most of you is probably just blabbering) I will just leave you with the promise of putting up some pictures on my next post!!! keep an eye out! Have a great day folks!
