It's the Weekend, and Another new Designer

It's the weekend!!! Isn't it great?! I am going to a Live Simulcast Event with Beth Moore Speaking! She is such a great speaker and so inspirational! She really digs into the Bible and relates it to people well! We are doing dinner before hand, then the first session is tonight from 8:00 - 10:30pm. Then tomorrow morning there is a session from 9:00am - 1:00pm. Not sure what we have planned for the rest of the weekend, but I am sure it will be mainly spending time together as a family!

We've got another new designer at the Lilypad!!! Amy Sumrall has joined the ranks at the Lilypad! Her designs are so fun and colorful! I love her stuff so far!!! I can't wait to have some time to play with more of it! Check out her store here! Here is one page I did with her Nutty kit!

I've been busy working on a shutterfly book of our vacation - it's bee so fun to do! I have a bunch of coupons/deals to use before Sept. 1 - so time is ticking away! I need to hop to and finish it up! I think I have paages 1-10 done so far and also the cover and back and spine, so about 10 more pages to do! I can't wait to see it printed!

Have a great weekend everyone!

Lilypad Happenings

Have I expressed lately how lucky I am to be a part of  The-Lilypad creative team?!  And I just keep getting luckier and luckier!  The Pad put out a designer call about a month ago and now they are adding on the new designers!  On Friday it was announced that Karah Fredericks was joining the team!  I had worked with some of Karah’s goodies previously when she was a guest designer, and I am thrilled that she will be a permanent resident now at the Pad!!!

Welcome Karah!!!

Here is a page that I did with some of her goodies – her store is amazing already!!!

Beach@-Night

I also did this LO with the new Funky Junky kit (Funky Junky Old School) that was put out by Kate, Rachel, and Michelle!

Reading-Books

and one more with Misc. goodies from the pad!

Beach Pictures

I have more beach pictures! We had a great night last night at the beach while the guys fished (they didn’t have such a great night of fishing, however.) MaryJo had one wish this week and that was to get a few pictures of all of her grandkids lined up on the beach in front of the ocean! We got some great ones!

My girls were little models as well! Love when they decide to be photogenic!

And we did some impromptu family photos as well – not what I was hoping for as far as what we would wear, but they are going to have to do!

094

We’ve seen some interesting creatures on the beach this week!

Misc. pictures!

The kiddos are there in the middle playing in a low spot caused by low tide! These kids all play SO great together – it really amazes me. Cobe is the oldest at 9 and there are 9 total grandkids and Gracyn is the youngest at almost 2! So fun!

Beautiful Sunset last night too!

277

There is the last few days summed up in pics! Going out tonight with no kids so that will be nice! We will pack up tomorrow and head home somtime tomorrow so that we have a nice big Sunday to get back into routine at home! I can’t believe that once we get home it is going to be last minute school preparation, meetings for both Braelyn and Selah’s school, a birthday party for my niece, and back to work for Kyle and I – and it’s guaranteed to be busy this week with all that! I get to go to a woman’s live simulcast event by Beth Moore next weekend with my mom and some sisters and friends so I am looking forward to that as well!

Ciao!

School Time

Shabby Miss Jenn put out some new goodies this morning! School Time is her new kit – just in time for the start of school!

School-Letter

I will have two of my three girls in some sort of school this year – although neither of them full time yet, so that will be nice! Lanne also has some new blog frames out! My blog post with all the pics used some of her blog frames – they were super easy and they make the blog so much prettier!

There are new goodies at The-Lilypad as well – every Tuesday and Friday actually. New designers are being added each week for a couple weeks, so that makes it pretty fun around there! I have a LO almost all done with some of the new goods, so I will have to pop that in here when I finish it up! I have been getting a little scrap time in here while on vacation, so that is fun!

I didn’t have my camera out much yesterday so I didn’t upload them to my computer even. Maybe today I will try to take some more! We’ve been doing much of the same stuff every day – swimming, laying out, beaching it, etc…! Kyle and Jim went fishing and caught 3 good size blue fish! They were pretty excited. It was too dark to take pics of them. Kyle also caught a small shark, but obviously threw it back – it was small too – like real small, but kind of fun nonetheless! That’s about it around here these days. I think I need to get out of the house/area today and take a ride down to the pier or downtown or something – going a little stir crazy and need some alone family time! I feel like I haven’t had good time with hubby in like 5 days. That part I hate. No real one on one time like we get occasionally at home.

TTYS,

Pics

Edited – sorry about the pics being cut – I am trying to fix it. I am using LiveWriter, and I can’t figure out the right size to post pics and LO’s. :(

So many pictures I hate to only show a few! Hehehehe! Kylie – these are for you girl – Braelyn misses you too! It would be fun to do this with our family sometime too!

Here are a few pics from Lake Gaston – Sarah’s parent’s house:

this is the boat house. Inside this house is where they keep the boats. Up on top is where we jumped off of!

This is the lake house looking at it from the water.

011

Braelyn caught a catfish. She threw down her pole and ran the minute she pulled it up! ;) that’s my girl!

019

Next he showed her how to shoot a bebe gun.

025

032

Meanwhile, Sis and Selah just played with their baby dolls! How cute are they?!

034

And here are some pics from our time so far at the Beach house!

This is the house we stay in – it’s beautiful and the porches run the whole length of the house on the front and the back!

040

This is the pool

038

This is the view out the back – that house is the the coast guard station on Bogue Sound. Every morning they come and raise the flag in an official type manner – kind of cool – I haven’t witnessed it yet this year, but I intend to!

035

The view from the front – the ocean is just across the street – there is a little walk way just up the way. I will say that the beach walk can be atrocious with three little ones and all the beach gear. It’s nice having the pool right in the back yard!

076

this is the back porch right outside the pool on the ground level.

042

Gracyn playing in the pool. She’s just happy staying along the side.

046

The boy cousins – they did this for quite some time – doing tricks!

047

The guys just chillin’, listening to some tunes.

075

Braelyn, Josh, and Gracyn playing a game.

090

Selah at the ocean

104

She loves the beach – she’s a total surfer girl!

108

Daddy and Selah going to check out the fishing going on up way! Jen and a group of other kids are up ahead.

126

Such concentration!

124

Grandpa and Gracyn

133

Yesterday Gracyn waltzed right up to Ryan and gave him a big kiss, today she was a bit more reserved and it took her a little more time to work up the gumption to do it! But she did go over to him, but I think he had to give her the kiss.

134

Boy cousins again – they sure do keep busy! They did stop playing shortly after this actually and now I am wondering if it had anything to do with the fact that Gracyn was trying to join in the their game?!

137

She found half a sand dollar

143

and a conk shell

Gracyn & Selah

145

Goo-Goo and Me.

158

Was that a bunch of pictures or what?! I could have done even more – I have been trying to snap away! Fun times. We did a huge grocery run last night and I think we have enough food to feed a whole circus! I guess that’s good because we have a whole circus here I feel like! The kids are loving to just play and swim and be with their cousins. It’s a bit crazy at times and I guess you still have to do all the same things you have to do at home in regards to motherly duties. I always expect that vacation means just that – true vacation. It is nice not to have to work or anything though at least!!!

Ok – I am out to hit the pool while Gracyn and Selah are still napping! The weather is great so far – it’s quite HOT, but I LOVE it! We’ve been needing some heat – seeing that MI was mildly cool this summer!

Ciao!
